World of Warcraft – Everybody Can Become a Leader in WoW

5:51 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

World of Warcraft is, in many ways, a completely virtual world, and a lot of things work the same way there as they do in the real world. Picture this: You’ve just became a leader at your work, but you have no clue about how to lead people. Well, guess what? You can test it in WoW without suffering any devastating consequences.

Groups and Guilds

Of course, there’s many things you can do on your own in WoW, but many quests can only be done in groups. You can form a group from quest to quest, or dungeon to dungeon, or from battleground to battleground. Every time you’ll meet new members, and face new leadership demands. People also form larger, more permanent groups which are called guilds. Anybody can create a guild, but it takes a lot of leadership and knowledge to run it the correct way.

Challenges for a Guild Master

You can compare a guild master to a leader in many ways. A guild master has the overall responsibility of running the guild. That means, everything from striking up a conversation in the guild, to making sure of the members morale and behavior – even to “firing” guild members for conducting themselves in ways that go against the betterment of the guild.

Sometimes, you’ll face challenges that take all your knowledge and leadership to handle competently. One of the trusted members of the guild might do something that is against your policies, such as stealing from the guild bank; or begging from other players; or “needing” things in a dungeon that everybody has the same right to use.

How do you deal with things like that? In real life, you might be forced to fire such an employee, and that’s not the easiest task to handle. You might think that it doesn’t really matter in WoW, but then you would be wrong. Some guild members get really distressed if you throw them out of the guild, so you’d better be prepared to take care of that, too.

What behavior do you wish from your guild members? Should they at least say “hello”, when they enter, and “goodbye” when they leave – or doesn’t that matter to you? This is, perhaps, a small thing, but it’s important for the group morale that people know and matter to each other, therefore a minimum of politeness should be obligatory. Are you able to make your guild members live up to your policies? If not, then don’t expect to be able to lead a department.

It’s Not All Bad, of Course!

If you only had bad experiences from being a guild master, I guess there would be a lot fewer guilds in WoW. The good news is that this isn’t the case. Many members will look up to you as the leader, and learn from what you do, and how you behave. You have a great responsibility here, but you will also receive great rewards. Just like you would by being a leader in the real world.

And now it’s time to get some free tips about how to earn gold in World of Warcraft – and have fun doing so, when you earn fast gold. Gold can pay for cool mounts, pets and better armor and weaponry, but don’t spend your time on boring gold farming. Earn gold the fun way. Learn how to at my site http://SpeedWoWGold.com.

World of Warcraft – A Time-Tested Strategy to Keep Your Guild Active

5:50 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

A guild is a living entity and requires communication to keep it active and alive. As in real life some form of communication is absolutely necessary for your guild to survive.

You do not have to put up an entire website for your guild but at the very minimum you should have a message board or forum.

You must have a place where your members can interact when not playing the game itself. A forum will give you this needed place.

How can you get a message board?

Getting one set up is really a very easy thing. There are a number of places that offer free message boards but like all things you get what you pay for. Nearly all of the free forums spam your visitors with advertisements.

There are some really great free scripts out there. The down side to these scripts is that you must have your own web space with access to databases. The hosting you get from your ISP may not have this access.

You want a message board that you have complete control over and can list as many or as few categories as you like. In my experience you will not get this from free message board hosts.

If you have your own web space with a control panel, look to see if Fantastico is listed in your controls. If it is chances are that you already have the ability to host a message board. Simply click on Fantastico and look for a section titled “Discussion Boards” then follow the instructions to install one of the message boards.

It is my advice that you make registration on your forum mandatory for all of your players. If they do not want to take the time to become part of your community then perhaps they should look for another guild.

Use message boards to create a sense of community within your guild. They can be very handy when scheduling guild events as well as day to day communication that cannot take place within the game.

Running a guild can be a very difficult thing. Using a message board is one of the keys to effectively managing your guild and should not be overlooked.

What’s New in Guild Wars – Factions

5:50 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

Guild Wars Factions is the second in the Guild Wars series of games. The great thing about Guild Wars is that this multi player role playing game is that there is no monthly fee, you only pay once, which sets it apart from most other online games. With Guild Wars all you have to do is buy the game or purchase an account key online and you can play for an unlimited time. Guild Wars was released just over three years ago and has completely changed the face of massively multi player online rpg games [MMOPRG].

The first Guild Wars game Prophecies was criticized by some players and so there have been some changes made to the campaign. Players can get Factions as a game by itself or they can choose to add it on if they already have an existing Prophecies account – even if you buy Factions on its own you can still access quite a lot of the content of Prophecies.

Guild Wars Factions introduces players to a new continent Cantha where two opposing groups or factions, the Luxons and Kurzicks are constantly engaged in battle. When you play the game you decide which of the factions you want to belong to and then you can join in the war.Players help their factions to claim towns on the map from their opponents. This game has a new PVE or player versus environment campaign. The Luxons respect strength more than anything else, they have no religion and they live in the Jade Sea. The Kurzicks on the other hand respect religion and social order, they live in the dark environment of the Echovald Forests.

Originally Guild Wars had six professions (hence the guilds) but in this game another two professions, the Assasin and the Ritualist have been added. The chief skill of the Assasin is getting into a situation or battle quickly and getting out again just as quickly once the mission has been accomplished. An Assasin can teleport around the battlefield and they can also shadow step. The Assasin’s special skills means that they can do a great deal of damage to their opponents. The Assasin’s major weakness is the armor that used, it is not quite up to the task expected of it and this means that the Assasin is of little use in the front line of combat.

The Ritualist has a direct link to the spirit world and is able to conjure up spirits into the field either to protect their allies or attack their opponents. In addition to this they can communicate with the spirits of their ancestors in a ritual involving ashes and urns to create ghostly weapons to put into the hands of the spirits they have conjured up. Factions also contains new skills and armor for the six existing professions and there are new ways of playing the game for both player versus environment and player versus player.

Tom Kranz has been playing Guild Wars since its UK launch. As well as writing about the three Guild Wars chapters – Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall – he also covers Guild Wars gold and Guild Wars maps.

What is Guild Wars? Discovering This Unique Game

5:49 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

Guild Wars is an extremely popular massively multiplayer online role playing game; it is different to most online games because there is no monthly subscription – once a player has bought the game or a key code they can continue playing for as long as they wish.

Guild Wars is quite a complicated game because it is made up of a number of different campaigns and each campaign has its own extra additions to the original campaign of Prophecies. In the Guild Wars players have basically two modes of action, player versus player game and player versus environment. In the first players compete against each other or they become part of a team that is competing against another team. The environment, the virtual world is an important part of Guild Wars, unlike other virtual worlds the Guild War world is not static – this means that characters can move on in their lives and the story takes place in real time.

Each campaign in the Guild Wars series has its own territory or continent and each continent has a set of maps. Maps are necessary to any campaign and in Guild Wars they allow the player to see where they have come from, where they are, and where they should be going. They have to make their way through the map in order to gain rewards with which they can buy certain skills. Players choose the profession or guild to which they want to belong and then they start to build their character. Guild Wars builds are accomplished by making use of certain skills, each player can have only eight skills, one of which may be an elite skill which cannot be bought.

Players can recognize their allies, those who are on their side by green dots on the map, their enemies on the other hand are represented by red dots. Players have to accomplish a series of tasks or missions to take their character to another level where they have access to more armor and skills.

Guild Wars is fast developing a cult following and there is a Guild Wars wiki containing a lot of basic but useful information concerning the game. There are also Guild War gurus who compete every now and again to see who has the most up to date knowledge on the game. Like many other online games there are also a series of cheats that some people claim they use, but if a player is caught cheating then they risk having their account suspended.

What Is Guild Wars?

5:49 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

Massively multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG) are a new genre of computer games which are proving hugely popular around the world. Client software is installed on your PC, and this lets you connect to the game’s servers. Joined thousands – even millions – of other players online, you are no longer restricted to just playing through a storyline by yourself.

MMORPGs expand the world of role playing games, allowing players the freedom to make their own storylines, and prove their skill not just against computer controlled opponents (NPCs) but also each other. Usually MMORPGs like World of Warcraft have a monthly subscription fee, on top of the initial fee required to purchase the game client.

Guild Wars from ArenaNet does away with these subscription fees. Once you have bought the software, installed it, and created an account to log in to the game, everything is free. This gives players the freedom to play Guild Wars as little or as often as they want.

Each character has a relatively low level cap of level 20. This is because Guild Wars is based more on skill rather than how far you have progressed in the game or what items your character has. Combined with the lack of a subscription fee, this has made Guild Wars very popular with casual gamers.

There are three campaigns – Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. Each of these has their own unique characters, skills and items, along with the core characters and skills which are available in all campaigns. Each can be played as a standalone title, or registered with one account, allowing players to move their characters between the three storylines.

Prophecies alone has over 30 character/profession combinations, and more than 200 quests available through the storyline. Factions continues the initial storyline, moving events to a new continent. Nightfall, the third campaign, moves the action to an unexplored part of Tyria, and brings events in the main storyline to a climax.

Eye of the North is the game’s first true expansion, requiring one of the campaigns to be installed first. Aimed at established players, there are no new professions or characters available. Eye of the North introduces some new features which link the existing titles to the forthcoming sequel. The beta for Guild Wars 2, starting in 2008, is sure to have a huge take-up.

Since it’s release in April 2005, Guild Wars has sold over 4 million copies, and won numerous awards. With such a large established player base, as well as regular tournaments for cash prizes, the game is going still going strong.

Tom Kranz is a an avid player of Eye of the North, the expansion to the award winning Guild Wars. Follow the links for more information on Eye of the North maps and Guild Wars gold.

What Do I Need to Know About a World of Warcraft Guild?

5:49 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

As you begin playing World of Warcraft, it might come to your attention that there are people running around in game with a line of text underneath their name. What you are seeing is evidence that these people part of a World of Warcraft guild. A World of Warcraft guild is essentially a group of player characters who are affiliated with one another, who might share bank space and who have often come together for a specific purpose. Is joining a guild something that you might be interested in?

The first thing that you need to remember is that a World of Warcraft guild is not something that is run by Blizzard; it is run by other players and as such will vary based on how fairly they will treat their members and what they do. There are several advantages for being part of a guild. If you participate in raids and instances, you’ll be able to take on areas that you would not be able t handle alone, you will be able to get help getting up to the master level of your skills and you’ll be able to pick up trade skill ingredients through other guild members. You will also find that the social aspect of World of Warcraft can be extremely beneficial as well.

Finding a guild is relatively easy, but remember that there are lots of different kinds of guilds out there. Some guilds are completely geared towards the end game and taking on the dungeons and instances there. These guilds take their raiding very seriously and often have fairly stiff requirements for their members in terms of gear and experience. You will also find that there are guilds who are completely oriented towards role playing, where people will get into character and interact socially as the characters. Some guilds are a mix of both. Take your time and find the World of Warcraft guild that is going to be the best suited for your needs.

Especially when you are in the big cities, you’ll discover that there are people who are interested in having you sign their guild charter. A guild needs a certain amount of people to get started and in some cases, the people who are looking for their charter members will simply boot you from the guild when they have all the signatures that they need, though if they are going to do this, they will typically give you a tip for your trouble.

For many people, guilds are both the most enjoyable and frustrating aspect of the game. There is something incredibly fun about throwing in with a group of people and taking a challenging dungeon. For a lot of the endgame content, remember that it is not something that you can solo. Take some time and see how you might feel about joining a guild and make sure that when you do it, you choose wisely. Guild hopping will get pretty tiresome after a while, so see what your needs are going to be like.

Warcraft Guild Management

5:48 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

There are many ways to effectively manage a Guild in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King. There are many changes when it comes to Talent Trees, Spells, Abilities, Classes, and more. If you are interested in gearing up a new Guild that will be productive and beneficial to all of the members that you recruit, there are just a few things that you should be aware of. Here, you will learn a few steps and types of information that is important when it comes to effectively manage a Guild in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King.

Guild Control Panel

When operating a Guild in Wrath of the Lich King, you should learn as much as you possibly can about the Control Panel. This will allow you to perform many different operations. The following details some of the controls that are listed, as well as the function of these controls:

1.    “Guild Control” – This function allows you to view a special pane that allows you to take a look at the members of the Guild, set up the ranks that you want in the Guild, determine the different permissions of the ranks that are involved in the Guild, and several other tasks.

2.    “Group Invite” – If you select this option, you can see a whole list of characters that are in your Guild. Then, if you create a “Party”, you can scroll through this list and hit the appropriate button to invite them to join the party that you have established.

3.    “Add Member” – With this option, you can click on the button and type in a name of an individual that you would like to add to your Wrath of the Lich King Guild, and invite them. If the player accepts, they will automatically be placed in your Guild.

4.    “Promote” – Within each Guild, there are ranks. As a Guild Leader, it is important to understand that the right promotions are a necessary component to the success of your Guild. You can use this option to promote various members to different ranks, but do so with caution. If you promote the wrong person, and give them the wrong permissions, you may quickly find your Guild falling to pieces!

5.    “Demote” – Naturally, with this option, you are issued the ability to take a rank away from someone in the Guild. This, too, should be used with caution.

6.    “Remove” – When you use this option on an individual in your Guild, you will actually be removing them completely from the Guild that you are the leader of.

7.    “Player Notes” – The “Player Notes” option in the Control Panel allows a memo to be added to any and all Guild members. Many Guilds may wish to add notes to alts, stating that they are an alt to another character. In some Guilds, adding a note about the professions of a certain player is acceptable.

8.    “Guild Message of the Day” – Here, you can enter in relevant information pertaining to your Guild, or simply a message stating a welcome message to all members. This is a message that can be seen by every single Guild member that signs into the game on the day that it is entered.

9.    “Officer’s Notes” – This is a great wait to put secret information on various members of the Guild. Only Officers have permission to see the information that is listed. For example, if you have a player that has been on and off and taking quite a bit of stuff from the Guild Bank, but has not been contributing to the Guild overall, you may want to place an alert on the character by way of the “Officer’s Notes” section.

If you want to have the best Guild there is with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, it is important that you learn how to manage the Guild through the Guild Control Panel.

Trading Guild To Speculative Stocks

5:47 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

Speculative stocks, by Investopedia definition are stock with high risk relative to any potential positive returns. They are thought to be for traders or active investors, and mostly they are. But many successful long term investors allocate, approximately 5% to speculative stocks and the majority say 75% of their portfolio to blue chips, and the remaining 20% to quality mid-cap stocks.

Speculative stocks are dubbed as high risk for good reason; many of the speculative stocks have no guarantee of the potential will turn into revenue that provides a profit or dividend. Many are in the phase of exploring minerals, researching a biotechnology, clean technology or are still in the concept stages yet to make money.

What makes these stocks by nature speculative are they are hard to understand – let alone value. They generally aren’t covered closely by many brokers or generally invested in by fund managers, who prefer to wait until the company is closer to making money before buying. This makes it harder to take comfort from the big traders doing due diligence.

There are downfalls to trading speculative stocks, these include limited price history especially the younger companies and micro-cap stocks are usually the volume of their shares traded each day is low.

If I haven’t put you off, and you are still interested here is some handy rules you should be aware of when trading.

1. Keep an eye on substantial shareholder notices and director dealings, published under company announcements to the stock exchange; this information is open to the public. It provides useful information of the substantial investors buying or selling and how the directors are investing in the company.

2. Monitor your speculative stocks closely; these are not ’set and forget’ investments. Always be alert to sudden prices rises and falls and keep in touch with company news. Have a watch list online and subscribe to a service that provides emails alerts on the stocks you own.

3. Stop losses orders is a must, pre-determine your orders before hand to avoid emotional decisions and essentially to preserve your capital as they are high risk investments.

4. Using margins to buy speculative stocks can be destructive to your portfolio. Usually, speculative stocks are spontaneous by nature and illiquid. The temptation is there to make spectacular gains on margin, but remember they are speculative and by increasing your risk appetite can leave you sleepless nights and financial ruins.

5. Be cautious on stock floats many are often best bought a year after they list. There are some floats are dressed up to achieve an inflated price only to find once you buy it that things go wrong. Generally, waiting a year will save you the headache and give you a history as a listed company.

6. Often the best time to buy speculative stocks i.e. small biotech’s getting closer to commercializing their research or small explores just before they move to production. There is the risk that they might flop, but the rewards and gains are there if you are right.

7. Don’t buy the hype, there are a lot of get-rich schemes that promise large profit potential be inflating the stock’s value. This is a common trick promoters use to wow their audience into buying the stock. If it is too good to be true then it is usually isn’t true. Do your homework before you leap, ask questions to yourself if this is a viable business and so on.

8. It is really hard to get good reliable resource, the temptation of taking advice on newspaper or magazine is great as information is scarce. Do your homework!

Having a stockbroker research house is a good idea to find independent information. Word of caution, using stockbroker research house can be useful, but ask yourself if the broker has a commercial relationship with the company you are interested. They might have helped the stock float on the market and have strong biases towards its success.

I hope theses ideas help with your trading, it’s a jungle out there in speculative stock land, so buyers beware!

5:47 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

The Guild Of Dark Knights is a MMORG and is free to play for anyone.

You join the game as a low life knight. The whole objective of the game is to rank and bank. You can start off with stealing carts and committing crimes. Once you have built up enough money you will be able to do an Organised Crime (OC). When you do an OC you get a lot of money as well as rank. But you usually have to share the money out with everyone else in your tea. People may kill you, if this happens you have to re-register and start the game ALL over again. So do not hesitate to shoot them if they come in your way. Finally, I hope you enjoy the game and if you have any questions, queries, problems or suggestions, feel free to contact a moderator or administrator.

Crimes, Steal A Cart and Missions are the core of the game however there are also casinos and other features where you can go against the game or other players for extremmley large amounts of money. You may also kill people for money, betrayal, power or maybe they got twisted up in your business.

The Guild Of The Dark Knights has no real end to the game. The missions are only additional most of the game is ment to be what you make it e.g Guild Wars, Disputes, Rivalrys and killings. TGODK has no winner either, the current best player could be betrayed or killed at any moment in time. One thing you will eventually learn maybe even the hard way that friends are the best thing on TGODK.

The Guild 2 – Highly Addictive

5:46 am by admin. Filed under: Guild Guide

“The Guild 2″ is a game that has every aspect you could want in a game. If you are okay with a long tutorial and learning a lot of features, you will thoroughly enjoy this PC game. It has elements from The Sims, Pirates, Dynasties, Law and Order, Politics and other cool concepts. Besides that, the graphics are awesome to top it off.

You design your character and choose his starting stats that build up with experience. This is typical of most rpgs(role playing games). You can be a craftsman, rogue, scholar or patron. Their is 3-5 subclasses in those categories depending on who you pick. Such as miners, woodcutters or black smithy. You can hire employees to help your business (rogues can hire thugs, patrons hire servants). This is highly immersive as their is real time economy in the game. You mine the iron, sell it in market, then a smith can buy it, make something and sell that item (armor, swords, etc.) in the market. Then the computer or real player can store it in his house or carry it. A rogue can then go to his house and steal it. So an item is never lost unless a character dies. He can even pass his items on to his children if he is of old age. Plus the prices in the market fluctuate depending on supply. You can make money just from buying and selling in various markets.

The game is multiplayer as well, online or network which makes it really enjoyable. You can compete in the markets or in elections. Vie for the city mayor or accuse each other of crimes in court. Or you can ally and try to take out the other computer guilds. Their are multiple cities in each map and tons of room to run your own city and show it off to your friend in game. You can even move different characters in your dynasty from town to town. So if you get bored of one town you can switch towns.

There are also titles in the game, you can go from commoner to baronet. You also pass your titles down to your children, so your dynasty can prosper. There is also a feature where your children take the attributes of you and your wife. So their stats will be good if you and your wife have great stats. You can control three people from your dynasty. This leaves plenty of room to have variety and keep things interesting. Since each character can’t change classes, you can have your wife and son be two different classes or you can specialize on one skill and refine it throughout generations, so your kids can be born with a mastery of skills in that craft.
